In Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) I work as a member of a highly skilled and creative team charged with the development and support of enterprise-wide systems. It is a challenging environment in which one can grow skills and knowledge.

USAC is a private not-for-profit organization that is appointed by the Federal Communications Commission to administer the Universal Service Fund. It is a comparatively large fund that is disbursed over four separate programs. The money is used to help setup and maintain the communications infrastructure in schools, libraries, rural area hospitals, low income and high cost areas.

WebcastONE Media Platform was one of my own, original projects. It aims to satisfy the market needs for an advanced advertising, marketing and informational service.

There are many features that I developed over time. Some of them are: AMF remoting for encrypted playlist delivery and player authorization, advanced content delivery system (Flash Communication Server and/or progressive download, Microsoft Media Server, RealNetworks Media Server), selective content delivery, intrusion detection, MD5 user authorization, multiple player-playlist-content-domain authorization, sales leads submission and tracking of corresponding media content, advanced statistics with IP exclusions, "hits" and "time" tracking.

This platform is compatible with any existing and future media content delivery applications, as long as they can be embedded inside a browser. Modularized, it allows playlists to be formatted appropriately for use with WMP, RealPlayer, WebcastONE Player and any other player that supports client-initiated playlist requests.
